Hello! This is our TVB Drama countdown list of all the dramas we have seen this year and our thoughts on them!! As always, comments are encouraged to share your views on dramas as well! As we didn't watch or finish some dramas, we decided to leave them out of the countdown since it would be unfair judgement if we never watched the whole thing. The Ones we Didn't Watch (and why): Every Step You Take - Nothing interesting and Moses Chan is such a bore with his dramas this year. We aren't too into dogs and stuff either so no. My Spiritual Ex-Lover - NO THANK YOU. The Empress of China - It was way too long and although it did look appealing, we didn't have time. There's also something weird about dubbing, maybe it's just us? But it's not original and the mouths don't match and it's just not real so you will find that we don't watched dubbed stuff. The theme song of "Angel In-the-Making" (an upcoming TVB drama) was released early on and is sung by Jinny Ng. The song is called "我們都受傷". We think that this song is okay but it from what we know of "Angel In-the Making" so far, we don't know how this will even tie in with the drama. It's sorta a thing on its own and not really that suitable as a theme song. The Voice Entertainment Group has been putting out some really poor quality MVs and songs lately and even this song isn't great. This MV is just basically the same as Hubert Wu's "明知故犯" that was posted around the same time. We understand how it is a collaborated MV, one from Hubert's point of view and one from Jinny's but it just doesn't cut it.  Voice Entertainment is trying to use one stone to kill several birds by filming one MV for many purposes. Captain of Destiny 張保仔 Review Basic Overview: Captain of Destiny is a historical fiction/sci-fi drama of TVB. It is a time travelling series where Wong Tai Mui (Grace Chan) who lives in Hong Kong 2015, goes back to the Qing dynasty. Wong Tai Mui is a Hong Kong policewoman who got stationed at Cheung Chau. There, she encounters a criminal mastermind, Bowie (Ruco Chan) and during a motorboat chase, she gets sucked into a waterspout and travels back in time. There she meets a group of pirates including Cheung Po Tsai (Tony Hung), Cheng Yat (Lo Lok Lam), Shek Gui (Maggie Shiu), etc. The story basically unravels from there and talks about conflicts between the pirates and the Qing army and journey of Wong Tai Mui trying to go back to 2015. Along with that, there are other stories like in the palace about prince Man Ho/the 11th prince (Ruco Chan), Imperial Consort Yim (Elaine Yiu), Imperial Consort Shun (Susan Tse), the Jiaqing Emperor (Lau Kong), or in Macau with Chu Suk Kwan (Mandy...

Awards - Starhub TVB Awards 2015 Thoughts!     My Favourite TVB Actress Liza Wang from Limelight Years Wow! We both think that this is surprising but at the same time expected. At first, we thought that the people voting online would be cheering for their idols and not for Liza Jeh. But, Liza's acting is undoubtedly the best out of all the nominees. Although we didn't watch the whole drama, we managed to see more than half the episodes and it's really something special from TVB. We were originally planning to skip this drama but after some recommendation, we decided to give it a try. If you put aside the naïve Linda and her story with Alex Fong, it is a great drama. Liza puts in her real life experiences into acting this role and we have to say that she performed better in here than Master of Destiny and Divas in Distress. Come Home Love 2 is the spin-off of the TVB sitcom Come Home Love with a new cast and story line. It stars Louis Cheung, Priscilla Wong, Katy Kung, Owen Cheung, Quinn Ho, James Ng, Evergreen Mak, Helen Ma, Li Fung, and some other actors. Some also feel that it should be called "愛瑜伽" (Love Yoga) instead. The story is uninteresting with Anson (Owen Cheung) and Billy (Quinn Ho) constantly bickering over Lei Lok Yee (Katy Kung). Hello! First of all, we would like to apologize for the long break in blogging. We have been very busy and not many interesting things have been happening in the asian entertainment world. With TVB's anniversary season, we figured we would come back and post some new things. As for the new canto-pop, not many songs have caught our eye either. In the following months, we hope to have more frequent posts and this will include a full year review of HK entertainment including TVB dramas, music, etc. We also look forward to doing more drama reviews with the TVB anniversary dramas. 

Happy summer everyone! To keep with the summer mood, we chose this song 點止冰冰/ Taste it Don't Waste it. It was only posted on Youtube a few days ago. We like how colourful and fun the MV is. The theme is perfect for summer. In the description box of this MV, it mentions how Jonathan Wong and Hanjin Tan came together to rid the boiling heat inside everyone and encourage people to let go. As the lyrics say, taste it don't waste it! When we first heard this song, we were laughing at the shallow lyrics like  我要吃雪糕,  一個人去吃雪糕.  After looping it a couple times, we started to like the song. There were funny moments between the sudden change of english and cantonese at the beginning. Hanjin also adds some humour to the MV. We laughed so hard at 1:25 and 2:34 when Hanjin was "tasting" the ice cream! It was also nice to see Ali Lee in the video.
